Turn your face to the sun, and the shadows fall behind you.

Maori proverb

Individual counselling, in a safe, supportive, unbiased and non judgemental setting can offer an opportunity for self reflection, new perspectives and fresh choices in life.  My approach is integrative, drawing upon a wide variety of trainings and life experience and is essentially based on compassion and upon a belief that each of us holds the potential within ourselves to lead fulfilling lives.

My training over the past twenty years has included a three year Diploma in Integrative Psychosynthesis, a two year Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, a Batchelor of Arts degree in Buddhist Psychology, a Certificate in Systemic Constellations as well as various additional post graduate workshops and seminars which have included EMDR and Sensorimotor Trauma trainings. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and have  trained as a supervisor.

My way of working is essentially based on the importance of the therapeutic relationship, utilising direct experiencing in the present together with paying close attention to past influences.  I am particularly passionate about the wellbeing of the whole person and in personal growth and change.
